Man found dead after Tulum New Year’s rave party

Tulum, Q.R. — A man, reportedly shot, was found dead in a popular Tulum cenote the morning after a New Year’s Eve rave party.

The body of an unidentified man was reported found around 7:20 a.m. Tuesday in the area of Zamna Cenote south of Tulum. The night before, the cenote was host to a large New Year’s Eve rave party, Flying Circus.

According to preliminary information, the body of the man was already covered with a sheet when police arrived. He is said to have died from a gun shot wound.

Police did located a casing, however, there were no reported witnesses.
