Land approved for new housing subdivision in Playa

Playa del Carmen, Q.R. – A large parcel of raw land in Playa del Carmen has been approved for a new housing subdivision.

The Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources (Semarnat) approved the change in use of the land to be set aside for a new housing development project.

The area of land is located in Ejido, and according to the petition submitted, will be lot subdivision 429. The request for change of land use was made by Jose Enrique Camera. The plot of land is located in the 429 Z1P1 / 1 of Ejido Playa del Carmen and consists of ​​194,000 square meters.

Camera says the project is regulated by the Local Ecological Zoning Program of the municipality of Solidaridad, occupying the Environmental Management Unit referred to as urban reserve of Playa del Carmen with sustainable use policy. This particular area also falls under the Urban Development Program for the Population of Playa del Carmen which permits commercial use.

The project has been approved to meet the demands of the growing city. The need for social housing continues to increase as does the demand for international tourism infrastructure.
