Isla Mujeres, Q.R. – The community of Isla Mujeres has been issued new patrol cars to help strengthen public safety for island residents and tourists.
Quintana Roo governor, Carlos Joaquín González, was accompanied by Isla Mujeres mayor, Juan Carrillo Soberanis, when the eight new patrol cars were delivered.
The mayor reported that the delivery of the new vehicles is to double efforts to combat crime and ensure security at all levels. Carrillo Soberanis stressed that Isla Mujeres is a municipality that is characterized by keeping crime rates below the national average.
