Hundreds of vendors granted permits for upcoming season

Playa del Carmen, Q.R — More than 400 street vendors have been regulated in the city of Playa del Carmen. The committee of the municipality of Solidarity approved 465 permits to ensure all street vendors are properly licensed.

“We are regularizing all the bazaars and tianguis where a large number of merchants are concentrated, as well as regularizing those who are already set up along the public highways who prove the need but did not have the formal approval of the committee,” said municipal president, Cristina Torres Gómez.

Along with the 465 approved permits, of which 64 were for musicians, 289 applications were rejected for regulation noncompliance.
