Hotel surveillance footage released of hotel guests for alleged robberies of other hotel guests

Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Surveillance footage of three Playa del Carmen hotel guests have been released to police. The footage was handed over after a request from authorities in relation to a complaint by the hotel.

Unidentified representatives of Sandos Caracol Eco Resort in Playa del Carmen provided police with photos of three hotel guests they say, are allegedly responsible for at least seven robberies against other hotel guests.

Details, including dates of the incidents, were not given, however, the three wanted for the robberies have been identified as Alfredo MM, Agustín AB and Karen CO, all Mexican nationals and all registered guests of the hotel.

According to information provided, the three stayed at the hotel for two nights, at which time, they have been accused of robbing other tourists inside the premises. Four formal complaints have already been filed with local authorities.

The hotel’s footage was handed over to police as part of their collaboration in locating the two men and one woman.
