Hilton Garden Inn opens doors at Cancun International Airport

Cancun, Q. R. — The Hilton Garden Inn Cancun Airport has become the first hotel within minutes of the Cancun International Airport. The hotel officially opened its doors earlier this week.

On its first night, the new Hilton had 10 guests occupying the 186 rooms offered.

Governor Carlos Joaquín González was on site for the hotel’s inauguration. Now that the hotel is operating, more than 100 jobs have been created, said Cecilia Betancourt, general manager of the hotel.

The hotel’s 186 pet-friendly rooms, including four suites, feature comfortable spaces, work desks, a 24-hour fitness center, a panoramic terrace with a cenote-inspired pool, and offers three private meeting rooms with capacity for up to 10 people each.

“We are excited to welcome guests to the Hilton Garden Inn Cancun Airport, the latest addition to Hilton’s growing portfolio of more than 80 hotels in Mexico,” said Pablo Torres, Hilton’s vice president of Mexico area operations.

“Not only will we offer the highest quality service and hospitality, but also a Mayan oasis for all travelers who stop at the Cancun airport and visit this exciting destination.”

Carlos Joaquín highlighted the importance of investing in the destination and offering tourists more and better spaces for comfortable, safe stays.

In December, the Hilton chain also opened its first hotel in the Cancun Hotel Zone after being absent for nearly 10 years.
