Cancun, Q.R. — A man from Great Britain died Monday night after falling from the sixth floor of a residential complex in Cancun. In a brief, the Attorney General has said that the accident happened at 11:05 p.m. inside a residential complex in SM 40 of Cancun.

Elements of the Quintana Roo Police and Ministerial Agents of the Specialized Homicide Investigation Unit responded to the emergency and took charge of the corresponding proceedings.

On site, police talked with the man’s 46-year-old wife who explained that earlier, they were sharing drinks in the pool with other people from the complex before they all went back to their room.

The wife and another lady left the room and returned an hour-and-a-half later, which is when she said, she discovered her husband laying on the concrete below. He was surrounded by several other people.

She called Emergency 911 services, who responded with police and an ambulance, however, paramedics could do nothing for the man. The deceased has been identified as 69-year-old David Whitehead from Chesterfield, Great Britain.
