Governor reports stabilized Coronavirus figures for Cancun, Riviera Maya

Cancun, Riviera Maya, Q.R. — Coronavirus infection figures from around the state have stabilized says the governor, who also reports low hospital occupation rates in both the north and south.

During his Coronavirus report Friday, Governor Carlos Joaquín González indicated that the epidemiological light for the upcoming week will remain yellow for all 11 municipalities, but stressed that the levels of contagion have stabilized to less than one percentage point in both the northern and southern areas of Quintana Roo.

He noted that hospital occupation rates in the south average 12 percent, while in the north the occupation rate is at 18 percent. He stressed the importance of continued health protocols to ensure infection figures remain low.

Around the state, the wearing of mouth guards in public remains mandatory as is healthy distance and the use of antibacterial gel and temperature taking before entering a public space such as shopping areas.
