Governor highlights successful summer season to continue with extension of flights

Riviera Maya . Q.R. — With the state remaining in a yellow epidemiological light, Governor Carlos Joaquín said that after the summer season, many airlines will maintain their flights for another two to three months.

“This is very good news,” he said during the Enlace Ciudadano program. “This is solid data that will allow us to have good omens for the next season,” he added stressing that the economic recovery process is on the right tract.

He explained that has been seen with the airlines who have increased their flights into the state.

“These are flights that had been scheduled only until the end of the summer season, but now they have decided to continue for one more month, and in some cases up to two and three months, and another, to continue until the winter season” added Carlos Joaquín.

Airlines such as Turkish Air, Tag and several US-based companies have announced increases in their frequencies to Cancun due to travel demand.
