Free mobile medical unit helps thousands in Playa del Carmen

Playa del Carmen, Q.R. – A mobile medical unit placed in a residential area of Playa del Carmen has serviced more than 5,000 residents.

The free mobile medical unit was placed in the community of Villas del Sol as part of Integral Social Development by the current municipal administration. The unit is fully equipped and has been providing free medical services to residents since November.

“Little by little we have been giving Villas del Sol more and better services in coordination with the State Government headed by Carlos Joaquín González,” said Cristina Torres Gómez, municipal president.

“Our commitment to the citizens is to recover the greatness of this municipality in which we all live, which we all enjoy and in which our children will grow. We have already delivered parks and soon we will be doing the same with the new clinic and we will bring more work to this area of the city,” she stressed.

The mobile medical unit offers residents free consultations, dental, nutrition and visual health services. It is operated by five doctors, two nurses, two dentists and a nutritionist 24 hours per day.
