Four arrested in abduction of student from Cancun nightclub

Cancun, Q.R. — The Attorney General of the State of Quintana Roo reports that four men have been taken into custody for the abduction of a student from a nightclub in the Cancun Hotel Zone.

The arrests come on the orders of a Cancun judge who issued an arrest warrant against the four men after a specialized team from the Kidnapping Investigation Unit were successful in proving their likely involvement.

On Saturday, police arrested the four who have been identified as José N, Jimmy N, Marco N and Víctor N for the crime of kidnapping. All four remain inside the Social Readaptation Center (Cancun prison).

Their arrests come after an investigation into the case of Nuevo León student, 24-year-old Sahir Alexis López, who was last seen July 11 at the Palazzo nightclub in the Hotel Zone of Cancun.
