Cancun, Q.R — Flights to and from the United States are still being affected by the aftermath of Harvey. The Cancun International Airport has again recorded 12 more cancellations to and from Houston due to the impact of Hurricane Harvey.
According to the Cancun airport authorities, six of the 12 operations canceled due to Hurricane Harvey were United Airlines, four of Southwest Airlines and two from Spirit Airlines affecting approximately 1,800 passengers.
In addition to those cancellations, local rains over the past 24 hours have also caused the cancellation of more than a dozen Mexican flights to and from Cancun. The canceled flights were with Aeromexico, Interjet, VivaAerobús and Volaris, which left about 1,500 passengers unable to travel. Even flights arriving into Mexico City have been effected by the heavy rains.
Passengers with flights in or out of Cancun as well as Mexico City are advised to check flight status as poor weather conditions continue to dictate schedules.
