Five arrested for the crime of theft from a Cancun business

Cancun, Q.R. — Elements of the Quintana Roo Police say they have arrested five people who were reported for the crime of theft from a Cancun business.

According to Quintana Roo Police information, the five were taken into custody after an incident of theft was reported to Emergency 911. Authorities responded to the request for assistance in Region 513 of Cancun where they interviewed the person who made the call.

The business owner said that the group of five had entered the business and were seen stealing items. They were able to provide a description of the people, which enabled police to locate them in the area. Police say arrested were four women and one man identified as 28-year-old Tania N, María N 29, Guadalupe N 27, Cristina N 23 and 31-year-old Jairo N.

All five were placed in police custody and made available for the public prosecutor.
