Five arrested in Cancun after public gun fire

Cancun, Q.R. — Five men have been arrested in downtown Cancun after police received a 911 call of gun fire.

State police arrested the five men after gun shots were heard in front of the restaurant El Embarcadero, located on Avenida Kabah with Avenida Leona Vicario. Concerned bystanders were the ones who made the emergency call to say that several men in a gray March car had shot toward the restaurant.

Personnel of the State Attorney General’s Office were able to locate the vehicle. Inside they found four men and one minor. The men ranged in age from 35 to 25, while the minor was listed as being a 14-year-old boy.

All were arrested and taken before the judicial authorities. Inside the car, police also found a revolver and cartridges.
