Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — Emergency personnel were kept busy early Sunday morning when a large fire broke out on the rooftop palapa of a bar.
Emergency services, civil protection and firefighters of Felipe Carrillo Puerto rushed to the scene of a large palapa fire that was reported around 3:40 a.m. at Cuarto Frio bar.
The fire kept emergency personnel busy while they tried to quelch flames and avoid it spreading to other nearby buildings.
A second fire was also reported in the town around the same time. The second fire occurred along avenida Benito Juárez in the Expo Maya area.
Authorities reported no casualties or injuries in either fire and initiated investigations to determine their causes.
