Playa del Carmen, Q.R. – The city of Playa del Carmen kicks off its annual Feria Navideña (Christmas Fair) on December 22. The annual event, which is organized by the Comité Permanente de Festejos Tradicionales of the city under the Mayor of Solidarity, Mauricio Góngora Escalante, begins this evening at 6:00 p.m.
Traditional Mexican Christmas celebrations will be part of the event which will run from December 22 until January 6. This year, there are more than 30 free rides for adults and children to enjoy as well as games, crafts and food kiosks. The city has also included games and activities for children with disabilities.
Feria Navideña is set up at Avenida 115 and Avenida Constituents and starts offering rides each day at 4:00 p.m. The roads along these areas have been closed to traffic and instead, are rerouting vehicles around the area.
