Cozumel police stop 22-year-old loaded with stolen merchandise

Cozumel, Q.R. — The Director of Public Security in Cozumel reports the timely arrest of a young male caught shoplifting from an island supermarket.

Guido RenĂ¡n Rosas LĂ³pez, the Director de Seguridad PĂºblica y TrĂ¡nsito de Cozumel, says that elements of the Quintana Roo Police gave chase to a young man after security from a supermarket pointed out he had left the store with stolen items.

Police were quick to locate and stop 22-year-old Veudy Y.T.M. along 11th Avenue who, after a review of his person, was found carrying numerous stolen items including two large bottles of tequila and several pieces of clothing.

Aside from his tequila, la PolicĂ­a Quintana Roo also reported finding him in possession of a stolen a black vest, a white shirt, a blue shirt, a red sport shirt, a black cap and a pair of red tennis shoes.

Subsequently, he was made available to la FiscalĂ­a General del Estado (FGE).
