Costa Mujeres, Q.R. — Investment leaders from Brazil and Australia have recently toured the coastal areas of the state for potential tourism development projects.
Guillermo Robles, technical secretary of the Institute for Development and Financing of the state says that executives from Credit Suisse in both Brazil and Australia see the state as a potential business opportunity.
In a recent visit to Quintana Roo, the executives arrived not only to tour, but to have a meeting to establish a work agenda regarding tourism real estate growth in the Costa Mujeres region, the beach area north of the city of Cancun. Robles says that the growth of the Costa Mujeres area generated a positive impression for the executives of the firm.
In subsequent months, support will be provided for the work proposals that were raised. “Quintana Roo is on the right track in terms of economic diversification,” he said.
“The positive trend of the economic growth of the state generates certainty and confidence which is why international firms such as Credit Suisse see our entity as a serious prospect for the placement of investment funds that trigger businesses complementary to the tourism industry,” he added.
Credit Suisse is a multinational firm specializing in banking products, financial services and placement of investment funds. The Institute for Development and Financing for the state has, as central objectives, the promotion of the entity as an investment destination, the attraction of capital (public and private) and to also provide personalized attention to investors who see business opportunities in Quintana Roo.
