Colombian man arrested in Cancun murder

Cancun, Q.R. — Police in Cancun have arrested a man they say is allegedly responsible for murder.

During a search and seizure operation, members of the municipal police in Cancun arrested a Colombian man that is being held on murder charges. The accused has been identified as 35-year-old L.A.G.R.

According to a statement by Agentes de la Secretaría de Seguridad Pública Municipal if Benito Juárez, the arrest took place at noon Friday shortly after the shooting death of an adult male in the El Crucero area of Cancun.

According to a statement by Agentes de la Secretaría de Seguridad Pública Municipal if Benito Juárez, the arrest took place at noon Friday shortly after the shooting death of an adult male in the El Crucero area of Cancun.   At approximately 11:40 a.m., a man was shot several times while walking down the street with a 10-year-old child. The adult man died. The child was reported injured and transferred to hospital.   The Colombian man was positively identified by witnesses who saw the Friday shooting.
