Zihuatanejo, Guerrero — A crocodile was capture and relocated after it was seen on a local beach at Zihuatanejo.
Personnel from Civil Protection of the State of Guerrero were called to the beach after people reported seeing the large reptile wandering. The call came in around 2:00 p.m. that a 2-meter crocodile was seen near Playa Linda, a popular beach area.
Emergency 911 handled the call. Animal officials went to Estero del Chaneque where they found the 2.5 meter reptile. With ropes, they managed to capture and secure it.
Civil protection say that often, these reptiles leave their habitat in search of food or to mate. He was relocated to an estuary.
