Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — The city says recreational activities in cenotes, swimming pools and water parks have been reactivated for the municipality of Solidaridad (Playa del Carmen). In a press release, the city reports that within the framework of the New Normal, swimming pools, water parks and cenotes are officially opened to the public, but operating at a 30 percent capacity and in complete compliance with health measures.
The Secretary of Civil Protection, Francisco Poot Kauil, reported that the protocols and measures to be applied were reviewed to verify compliance within the guidelines so that cenotes, water parks and swimming pools can operate at this stage of the epidemic.
He says that for this week, the epidemiological light that governs the gradual reactivation of activities remains orange. He stated the municipality can operate water parks, spas and theme parks at 30 percent of their capacity with healthy distance measures.
