Cancun’s car service aims to include Playa del Carmen

Cancun, Q.R. – Cancun’s online transportation company, VIP Fleet, announces intentions to expand to Playa del Carmen. The online car service of Andrea Quintana Roo Taxi Union was created to compete with Uber and ultimately, stop them from penetrating the local market.

Ronald Powan, VIP Fleet director, says the company is ready to launch an incentive program that will help get the car service moving forward and expand in other areas now that they have solid ground in Cancun. He says they are working on an annual strategy to promote the service and is hoping to expand into other parts of Mexico as well as Costa Rica.

VIP Fleet is reportedly in the works with a near one-million-dollar investment in digital application software for the Playa del Carmen taxi service. Powan says they are in advanced negotiation stages and hope to have a car service for Playa within the first half of the year.
