Cancun, Q.R. — The secretary of infrastructure says that a Chetumal company will be responsible for the nearly 29 million peso construction of the new Cancun court house.
William Conrado Alarcón, Secretary of Infrastructure and Transportation, reported that the company Urbanizaciones 115 SA de CV has been awarded the project of building the Cancun Criminal Justice System building.
The work, which is expected to be complete by the end of December, is an investment of 28.9 million peso and will include a new location and more floors. He says the new building, which will be built on Xcaret Avenue, will be a four-floor building of just over 828,000 square meters.
The company Urbanizaciones 115 SA de CV is scheduled to begin construction on August 1, with a due date by the end of December.
Conrado Alarcón says that 21 companies participate in the bidding process, however, only nine attended the opening proposals. The top three bidders were Corporativo Empresarial Cheqroo, S. de RL de CV for 26.3 million peso, Siacoz SA de CV for 29.6 million peso and the winning contractor, Urbanizaciones 11 SA de CV who bid 28.9 million peso.
The winning company, he explained, was chosen to due numerous factors including quality of work, capacity, experience, specialty of the bidder, compliance with contracts and price.
