Cancun, Q.R. – Cancun prepares for a new exotic taxi service that will offer the high-end visitor super luxury rides in super luxury vehicles.
Beginning April 1, Quiero Taxi Exótic (I Want Exotic Taxi), will be open for business, offering luxury taxi service for high-end travelers to Cancun and the Riviera Maya.
The new service comes about during the 43rd year of the founding Union of Taxi Drivers, Andrés Quintana Roo. The service will offer super luxury vehicles such as Lamborgini, sporting Audis, Mercedes Benz Gullwing and Ferrari.
The new taxi service is also hoping to address UBER competition, a service that is still banned in the state of Quintana Roo.
According to the Secretary General of the union, Eric Castillo Alonzo, 150 thousand pesos was invested into creating the app that will be available to consumers. The app will be available for android smartphones and tablets as well as IOS Apple operating systems.
The luxury taxi service has been made possible thanks to a commercial agreement with a local company that already has these types of vehicles available for private rentals.
Castillo Alonzo said that the service, which will be available on cell phones beginning April 1, can be requested by tourists as well as the general public. The amount of the luxury taxi service will vary depending on the type of vehicle selected.
The Union of Taxi Drivers also offers Quiero Taxi Exótic (I Want Exotic Taxi) as well as I Want Exotic Taxi Platinum with BMW, Jaguar, Hummer and Lincoln, which have had a significant role in the business and hotel class of exclusive services for tourists.
