Cancun, Q.R. — A prisoner at the Centro de Reinserción Social (CERESO) of Cancún managed to walk out the front door completely undetected Monday morning.
It wasn’t until 7:00 a.m. that guards noticed the inmate missing. During roll call, prison officials discovered prisoner Raúl Pérez Palma was not in his cell and notified local police.
Police arrived only to verify that the man had walked out the front door presumably unnoticed at around dawn Monday. There is no update as to the whereabouts of the escaped prisoner who was imprisoned for robberies.
Police proceedings are apparently being focused on the tower guards who who should have seen him leave the grounds.
