Cancun, Q.R. — A taxi allegedly used to move drugs in Cancun has been seized along with the arrest of its two occupants.
Ministerial police in Cancun took two people into custody Friday after they attempted to flee while being questioned. The suspicious taxi was intercepted near Ixtepec Avenue in Region 103.
Reports say that after the duo attempted to run, a review of the taxi revealed a double bottom in the vehicle.
Inside, police reportedly found 300 doses of cocaine.
Police cordoned off the street where the arrests were made for a tow truck to remove the taxi, which will be used to further the investigation of drug distribution.
