Cancun police arrest two out-of-state youths

Cancun, Q.R. — Police in Cancun have arrested two out-of-state youths after they were discovered carrying more than 20 street doses of drugs.

The discovery was made in central Cancun along López Portillo Avenue when the pair were stopped at a mandatory coronavirus filter. Police noticed the two males began to act evasive as they neared the filter, which lead to a search of their vehicle.

Officials say elements of the Quintana Roo Police arrested 21-year-old José N from Tabasco and 18-year-old Fredy from Chiapas. Both have been charged with drug possession after they were found in possession of 23 bags of marijuana.
