Cancun police arrest couple linked to criminal organization

Cancún, Q.R. — An anonymous report made to the federal police has led to the arrest of a couple linked to a criminal organization in Sinaloa.

The arrest was made Monday in the Corales de Cancún subdivision. Police say the couple arrested are thought to be responsible for the sale and distribution of drugs in the area for more than 10 years.

According to their information, 35-year-old Miguel Angel N, originally from Tabasco and 29-year-old Dorca Noemi N from Quintana Roo, were arrested after their apartment was searched by police after a search warrant was issued by a Cancun judge.

During the search, police found numerous packages of drugs including cocaine as well as scales, gun cartdriges and thousands in cash.

The detainees and objects were transferred to the State Prosecutor’s Office.
