Cancún, Q.R. — A recent survey found Cancun to be one of the top ten best cities in Mexico in which to work.
Governor Roberto Borge Angulo said today that he is satisfied with the results of the National Survey of Occupation and Employment (ENOE) of the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), which places Cancun in the top ten of the best cities to work in Mexico.
According to the survey, Cancun has a high employed population and ranked fifth with employees who have access to healthcare benefits.
The survey took into consideration other factors such as wages, stress and other employment opportunities confirming that the city is stable in its development of accelerated growth.
The survey also included the percentage of the population by different types of wages as well as the percentage of the population working in the informal sector and the unemployed.
Roberto Borge stressed that thanks is due for the support Cancún receives from the Federal Government. “Our primary objective has always been to provide better living standards for citizens,” he said.
The Top Ten Survey 2016 includes the cities of Saltillo, Hermosillo, Chihuahua, Culiacián, Monterrey, Tijuana, Cancun, La Paz, San Luis Potosi and Queretaro.
Cancún, a city with more than 600,000 inhabitants and 30,000 hotel rooms, is a dynamic city with many business opportunities he stated. It is a magnet for tourism and real estate investments.
