Cancun, Q.R. – The ninth annual Cancun kite festival was a huge success as more than 100 kites took to the skies.
The event was held at Isla Blanca where the Festival of Papalots included decorative kites of different shapes and sizes. People from all around the region including participants from Washington and Massachusetts were on site to show off their kites and flying tricks. Although there are varying categories for those who create their own kites, standard kites were available for purchase.
The annual kite flying, which is organized by DIF and Cancun Pro Kids, is held every year during last weekend of February. It is a free event open to the public.
