Cancun judge sentences pair to 11 years each for transporting pot

Cancun, Q.R. — Both a man and woman have been sentenced to 11 years in Cancun prison after they were found guilty of transporting narcotics. On Tuesday, the Public Ministry of the Attorney General of the Republic reported on the sentencing of José Luis “L” and Aylin “R”.

They were found guilty of transporting 39 kilos of marijuana after being stopped and arrested from SM 237 of Cancun. A Cancun judge sentenced each to 11 years and 10 months in prison.

The pair were surveyed and eventually arrested after a neighbor reported drugs being sold from their home.
