Cancun, Q.R. — In the midst of waiting for a sargasso solution, a Cancun hotel has decided to present a local cocktail adorned with the coastal seaweed.
The creative move is from the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Cancun. The hotel has created an exotic gift cocktail for its guests that consists of Tequila Patrón Blanco, Aquafava, lemon juice, lavender bitter and angostura as well as dehydrated pineapple and (triple-washed) sargasso that has been mixed with pineapple, honey, rosemary and anise.
The cocktail, which is named Pinneapple Gift, was created by mixologist Bruno Lardelli with a fruity base and is a tribute to the Maya culture, since in antiquity, they used to give pineapple as a welcome gift.
The new drink is part of the hotel’s strategy to offer different experiences to tourists visiting the Mexican Caribbean.
