Cancun, Q.R. — Benito Juárez City Council had their seven Blue Flag awards renewed which will wave at varying municipality beaches beginning July 3, announced Manuel Linss de la Peña, director of the Federal Maritime Ground (Zofemat ).
According to a city council statement, he said that during the recent National Meeting of Clean Beaches in Riviera Nayarit, the Mexican Institute of Standardization and Certification also received the corresponding flag of Sustainable Clean Beach for Playa Delfines.
“It is the municipality with the most flags in Mexico. Later they will give us another recognition for having obtained an excellent rating above 95, which is quite positive for Benito Juárez, “said the official.
Linss de la Peña said that this will start the Blue Flag 2017-2018 season for the public sands that are Las Perlas, Chac Mool, Delfines, Marlín, Ballenas, El Niño and Coral.
