Cancun, Q.R. — An accident between a public transport van and an ambulance has left five injured.
The accident occurred Friday at 6:30 p.m. in Cancun when a private ambulance crashed into a combi. The crash took place at the crossing of the Francisco I. Madero (Route 4) with CTM.
The ambulance, who was on a service call, collided with the combi when it failed to yield to the siren. Reports say that upon seeing the damage, the combi driver fled the scene.
The impact caused a rebound that ended in a private car also being involved. Firemen arrived to tend to potential chemical spillage from the vehicles.
Police and paramedics arrived to transfer the injured, most of whom were from the combi, to hospitals. Nearly 20 people were involved in the three-car accident.
