Bus transporting hospital patients rolls killing 12

Reynosa, Tamaulipas — Twelve people have been killed and another 16 injured after a bus rollover in Reynosa. The bus, which was transporting hospital patients from the IMSS of Reynosa to the city of Monterrey, rolled after the driver lost control.

The accident was reported at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday along the Reynosa-Monterrey highway when patients from the Mexican Institute of Social Security and their families were being taken to Monterrey for specialized medical consultations.

Preliminary reports say upon reaching a sharp curve, the driver lost control of the unit and overturned on its side, embedding a metal bar in the unit.
