Nezahualcóyotl, Mexico — The defense team of Roberto Borge are requesting an additional two month extension in order to collect evidence in his defense.
Borge, who remains in a federal prison of the state of Mexico, sent the letter of request to the judge in Nezahualcóyotl.
A judge in the Federal Criminal Justice Center in Ciudad Nezahualcoyotl scheduled the hearing for the extension request for 4:00 p.m. today, where his lawyers will explain the reasons why they need more time to present evidence.
The PGR has charged the ex-Quintana Roo governor with having committed operations with illicit proceeds.
