Acapulco, Guerrero — An arrest has been made by the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) for homicide against US citizen Douglas Bradley.
Isidro N has been arrested in the death of American Doug Bradley who was vacationing in Ixtapa. The body of Mr. Bradly was found in a public parking lot in Ixtapa Zihuatanejo de Azueta on December 28, 2017.
At a press conference in Acapulco, State Attorney General Xavier Olea Peláez reported that on January 6 of this year, his unit “requested the Judge of Control and Criminal Procedure of the Judicial District of Azueta and Montes de Oca, the corresponding arrest warrant against Isidro N for qualified homicide, noting that the accused had already been arrested and placed at the disposal of a Judge in Zihuatanejo.
Olea Peláez explained that an operation was carried out in a colony in the city and port of Zihuatanejo where Isidro was arrested. He was found from the description of an eyewitness to the crime, who, in an interview with experts from the Office of the Prosecutor, noted that on December 28, 2017, Isidro had shot the man.
According to police, the detainee “was found in possession of a firearm, square, chromed, with brown wood scales, caliber 45, automatic, Colt brand, model MK IV, series 80, manufactured in the United States.”
The prosecutor said, “sufficient data was available to prove that the accused Isidro N committed the crime of aggravated homicide against Douglas Scott Bradley,” for which he was arrested.
Olea Peláez exlained that the death of Douglas Bradley was the result of an altercation in a bar. Bradley, a 49-year-old administrative services director in the city of Imperial Beach in San Diego County, was murdered following an argument with a sex worker he had met in a bar.
After contracting the services of a woman, the pair left the 40-20 bar but, according to Olea, an altercation followed after Bradley accused the woman of stealing money from him.
Bradley returned to the bar where he reported the robbery and demanded the return of his money. Several altercations with bar staff and customers ensued, after which Bradley left again. However, an armed man caught up with Bradley and shot him with a .45-caliber handgun in a parking lot.
