Cancun, Riviera Maya, Q.R. — Another cold front has arrived, blanketing the region with cool air and interment rain showers.
The National Meteorological Service reports that Cold Front No. 12 remains stationary along the west portion of the Caribbean Sea, likely producing strong thunderstorms along the Yucatan Peninsula for Wednesday.
Intervals of showers with strong storms producing between 25 and 50 mm of rain is forecast for Durango, Nuevo Leon, Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosi, Queretaro, Guanajuato, State of Mexico, Veracruz, Chiapas, Campeche and Quintana Roo.
According to Rafael Trejo Vázquez, the forecast for Wednesday for the Yucatan Peninsula is partly cloudy skies during the day with an increase in afternoon clouds. Strong storms are forecast for Campeche and Quintana Roo, as well as isolated rains in Yucatan with northeasterly winds from 15 to 30 km/h.
There is no forecast as to how long Cold Front No. 12 will stay.
