Cancun, Q.R. — Federal Police elements have detained an American man who was found with a firearm at the Cancun International Airport.
According to information from the Federal Police, the California man was found carrying a gun inside his luggage. The man, who has been identified only as A.O.N., was discovered packing a Glock26 .9mm handgun and magazine.
Federal police arrested the man after he entered the country without the necessary legal documents to carry the firearm. He was taken into custody and held for the Attorney General’s Office in Cancun.
