Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — An American man has been handed over to Mexico immigration in Playa del Carmen after a disturbing public order complaint turned into an arrest.
The 38-year-old man was arrested by state police on 4th Street after a background check revealed a warrant for his arrest. The American, who has only been identified at G.G.R. from Colorado, was originally being cited for a disturbance of public order complaint.
However police quickly learned he was an American fugitive. The man has since been handed over to the National Institute of Migration (INM) for the process of deportation back to the United States.
