Mexico City – Building on the success of its Kindle store that opened to Mexico consumers in 2013, Amazon launched its online physical goods store.
Amazon.com.mx is a Spanish-language website with millions of items with sections growing every day. The online shopping store has more categories than any other international website featured at launch. The company offers a vast selection of items and low prices including kitchen appliances, sporting equipment, tools, electronics, personal care products, music, movies, books, video games, jewelry and home items to name a few.
Amazon is also introducing three of its Kindle devices in its Mexican online store. The devices include the MXN 1,499 Kindke, the Kindle Voyage and the new Kindle Paperwhite. The online retail giant also said that Mexican shoppers will be able to make purchases online, via a mobile device, on iTunes, Google Play with the Amazon apps.

Amazon offers free shipping on purchases of 599 MXN or more. The company also offers a range of paid shipping options or people can pick up their purchases in person from one of the hundreds of locations across the country.
“The expansion of Amazon.com.mx represents Amazon’s biggest international launch ever,” said Juan Carlos García, Country Manager for Amazon Mexico.
“With convenient and secure payment options and fast delivery, our goal is to deliver a world-class shopping experience for customers in Mexico.”
