Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — The city of Playa del Carmen will have its water supply cut on September 28 for the day.
Due to maintenance scheduled by Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE), the public water supply to Playa del Carmen will be cut from 7:00 a.m. until approximately 5:00 p.m. According to Aguakán, water throughout the municipality will be affected.
CFE will be performing maintenance work on its lines, installing circuit terminals and additional medium voltage lines to replace light distribution lines. The cut in electricity will affect the Aguakán pumps.
Officials are suggesting residents store additional water and make moderate use of what is stored in tanks.
Once water is restored, residents are reminded that water pressure will be low for the first few hours until the pressure becomes reestablished, taking several hours to refill tanks.
