Cancun, Q.R. — Aguakan is reminding residents of Cancun and Playa del Carmen that water services throughout both communities is restricted due to electrical issues.
In Cancun, maintenance at the airport plant will see water completely restricted to numerous neighborhoods of the city beginning Tuesday.
For Cancun, “Due to electrical maintenance work at the Airport Plant Tuesday, January 30, the following colonies could have effects on their service.”

For Playa del Carmen, water issues began Monday afternoon due to an electrical breakdown. Augakan crew have been working on the problem since it was detected and are advising all area residents to restrict the use of water until further notice. The company says water for the city of Playa del Carmen should be back on and flowing by 6:00 p.m. Tuesday.
AGUAKAN informs the community that climatic conditions resulted in the fall of electric blades in the catchment area, so the supply of drinking water will be affected throughout the municipality of Solidaridad.
Our brigades are working on site to solve it as soon as possible.
We recommend to make RATIONAL USE of stored water in order to reduce or avoid inconveniences while they conclude the works. We will keep residents informed on the advances in this respect.
