Cozumel, Q.R. – Beginning October 1, Aeromexico will offer direct daily flights between Mexico City and Cozumel.
Aeromexico reported that due to the increase in demand for flights to Cozumel, they will begin offering daily flights between Mexico City and Cozumel, which could increase to two flights per day starting December for high season.
Anko van der Werff of Aeromexico made the announcement back in July, saying that they will offer a 50-seat flight once per day. However on Tuesday, Armando Gamboa José Vargas, manager of the terminal operated by Aeropuertos del Sureste (Asur), updated the news saying that Aeromexico will now be offering a 95-seat flight due to the increase in interest in these direct flights to Cozumel.
If demand continues, the company will increase their schedule to include two direct flights per day starting December 19. Tomorrow’s initiating flight is scheduled to leave Mexico City at noon, with a two-hour, and 20 minute flight direct to Cozumel. The return flight departs Cozumel at 2:50 p.m. and lands at Mexico City International Airport at 5:22 p.m.
