Mexico City, Mexico — Aeromexico has created a new alliance with Israel Airlines that will see more flights added to Mexico.
The two companies launched a new code share agreement that has been signed by Andres Conesa for Aeromexico and David Maimon for EL AL. During the agreement ceremony, Conesa said, “This alliance reflects our consistent pursuit to offer our customers new and attractive options to connect to different destinations, where our partners allow us to expand our extensive flight connectivity network even further.
“On this occasion, we thank EL AL Israel Airlines for sharing our commitment and vision, which I am sure will allow us to strengthen the ties between Mexico and Israel even more.”
Over the past few years, passenger traffic to Mexico from Israel has grown more than 10 percent, currently exceeding 35,000 passengers per year.
”The increasing business and tourism ties between Israel and Mexico makes it a natural for both EL AL and Aeromexico to move forward to launch this code share agreement,” said Maimon adding, “We are confident that this agreement will be a success and be the best option for our mutual passengers.”
A goal of the new alliance is to offer customers different air travel route options with better flight connectivity possibilities such as Canada, Amsterdam, Madrid, London and Paris. The airlines say the new alliance should create more than 10 alternative flight schedules between Tel Aviv and Mexico City.
