Cancun, Q.R. — A man and two minors were arrested in Cancun Sunday after being found carrying more than 85 packages of drugs.
While in the middle of a surveillance operation, police touring SM 75 in Cancun saw three people huddled together, one of which was holding a gun. Base of Operations of the State Police in Cancun reported that they were performing a vigilance patrol when they came upon the men.
Seeing police, the trio fled but were intercepted. After a personal inspection, the of-age male was found to be carrying a gun and largest amount of drugs, which was 50 packages of crack. The other two, which were minors, were also found carrying packages of drugs.
Police arrested all three and seized the gun and packages of drugs, which they say were a mix of marijuana, cocaine and crack. The total seizure was 87 packages.
The adult male was placed at the disposal of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office, while the two minors were handed over to the Specialized Board of Justice for Adolescents.
