ADO adds more frequencies to keep up with passenger flow

Cancun, Q.R. — ADO says they have added several additional routes to popular destinations due to an increase in passenger flow.

The bus company said they have seen an increase of 20 percent in the flow of passengers to and from Cancun to different parts of the country. ADO said that due to the increase, they are adding about 15 additional frequencies to destinations such as Mérida, Campeche, Tabasco, Veracruz and Chiapas.

Julio García Flores, general manager of ADO Group announced that since November 15, there has been a good influx of passengers both with departure and arrivals in Cancun, and it is for this reason the company decided to increase the amount of frequencies to these destinations.

He also said they will increase the frequencies of their buses at the airport. Services to Cancun every 25 minutes and Playa del Carmen and Tulum every 30 minutes, when before it was every 30 and 45 minutes respectively.

The executive stressed that the ADO platform allows travelers to obtain discounts for advance purchases of their tickets up to 40 percent to places like Mexico City, Merida and Veracruz, to name a few.

García Flores recommends all travelers purchase their tickets in advance since during the last days of this month there is a much greater demand.

In relation to the growth in passenger traffic, he explained that from January to October they have had an eight percent increase in passengers.

For this reason, he explained that they have diversified their offer, now going directly from Puerto Morelos to Mérida, They also have first class trips to Chiquilá as well as trips to Belize, which is a new service.
